1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the website at charoencx.info and your engagement with the watch repair and restoration services offered by Charoen Craft, located at 47 Thanon Phang Nga, Talat Yai, Phuket 83000, Thailand.

By visiting our website or leaving a watch in our care for service, you agree to these terms. We have written them plainly so you understand what to expect from us and what we ask of you.

2. Our Services

Charoen Craft provides watch repair, servicing, and restoration for mechanical and quartz timepieces. Current services include:

• Service & Oiling — movement cleaning, fresh lubrication, and regulation (from ฿4,500)
• Crystal & Bezel Service — crystal replacement, bezel repair, and resealing (from ฿7,900)
• Full Vintage Restoration — in-depth movement rebuilding and conservation for vintage and inherited pieces (from ฿14,600)

Prices listed on our website are starting figures. The final cost depends on the condition of the watch, the parts required, and the scope of work agreed in writing with you before any work begins.

We do not begin work on any watch until a written estimate or service plan has been shared with you and your agreement has been received. You remain in control of the decision at every stage.

3. Acceptance of Work and Estimates

When you bring a watch to us or submit an enquiry, we will inspect the piece and provide an honest written assessment. This assessment will include our recommended service, an estimated cost, and an expected timeframe.

We will not proceed until you have accepted the estimate in writing or by confirmed message. If, during the course of work, we discover additional issues that would change the scope or cost, we will pause and contact you before continuing.

You are under no obligation to accept our estimate. Watches left with us for assessment and then not accepted for service will be returned to you in their received condition.

4. Turnaround Times

Indicative turnaround periods for each service are:

• Service & Oiling: approximately 2–3 weeks
• Crystal & Bezel Service: approximately 1–2 weeks
• Full Vintage Restoration: timeline agreed individually with the owner prior to commencement

These are working estimates, not binding deadlines. Timeframes can be affected by the availability of parts, the complexity of the work, or unforeseen findings during the service process.

We will keep you informed of progress and notify you promptly if a significant change to the expected completion date is anticipated. We will not rush work at the expense of quality.

5. Collection and Storage of Watches

We will notify you when your watch is ready for collection. We ask that you collect your watch within 30 days of notification.

Watches not collected within 60 days of notification, despite reasonable attempts to contact the owner, may attract a storage fee of ฿100 per week. We will make every reasonable effort to reach you before applying any such charge.

Watches left unclaimed for 12 months after the completion of service and after documented attempts to contact the owner may, at our discretion, be disposed of in a manner consistent with Thai law. This situation is rare, and we take significant steps to avoid it.

6. Liability and Care of Your Watch

We handle every watch entrusted to us with care. We maintain appropriate insurance for watches in our possession. While a watch is in our workshop, we are responsible for it under the conditions of that insurance.

Our liability is limited to the repair cost or the assessed value of the watch at the time of service, whichever is lower, in the event of loss or damage attributable to our negligence.

We are not liable for pre-existing conditions in a watch that we could not reasonably have identified before commencing work, provided we notify you of any such condition discovered during the service process.

We recommend that owners of high-value or irreplaceable pieces consider their own insurance arrangements. We are happy to provide a written condition note for insurance purposes on request.

7. Service Warranty

We stand behind the work we do. All completed services carry a workmanship warranty for a period of 6 months from the date of collection. This covers defects directly related to the service performed.

The warranty does not cover issues arising from accidental damage, water ingress beyond the watch's stated water resistance, or wear-and-tear occurring after collection.

If you have a concern about work we have carried out, please contact us. We will assess the situation honestly and resolve it as fairly as we can.

8. Payment

Payment is due in full upon collection of your watch. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and common electronic transfer methods. We do not release a watch before payment has been received.

If your circumstances have changed and you are unable to collect or pay within the agreed timeframe, please contact us to discuss an arrangement. We prefer open communication to unnecessary complications for either party.

9. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general information about our services. While we take care to keep it accurate and current, we cannot warrant that every detail is complete or error-free at all times.

You may browse and use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without prior written permission.
